AIG Investment Thesis

Intro

Led a team of five during my internship at Jasco Philanthropies to develop and present a venture-style investment pitch on American International Group (AIG), evaluating the company as if it were an early-stage startup. The project focused on analyzing AIG’s dual-engine revenue model (underwriting premiums and investment income), and identifying scalable growth opportunities within a $2T+ global insurance market. We highlighted AI-supported underwriting, strategic partnerships, and disciplined capital allocation as key drivers of long-term performance, while also assessing competitive positioning, financial strength, and key risks. The pitch was presented to Jasco internship leadership and selected as the winning presentation, recognized for depth of analysis, clarity of strategy, and strong team execution. Notably, Jasco’s founder, James Cole Jr., who sits on AIG’s board, observed the presentations—adding an additional layer of real-world relevance and scrutiny.
